Lead yourself first…

Too often, we hold others to a standard that we are unwilling, or unable to keep ourselves. Our focus should be more on self-discipline and less on critiquing others.
One of my favorite songs was made popular by the late Michael Jackson, Man in the Mirror. A line from the song says, “If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make the change.”
It’s easy to point a finger at others and hold them responsible for conditions that are less than ideal. If we want real change in our world, collectively or personally, the change is up to us as individuals.
Want to see a change in the world around you? A good place to start is in the mirror. I’ll meet you back here later; for now, I’m gonna take a look inward and find a way to improve Benji. In the meantime, take a listen to this version of Man in the Mirror.
