About Me
I am a sinner, saved by grace, striving to be like Christ. I don’t have life figured out, but I have figured out where life comes from, and that is Jesus Christ. He is the source of all things good in my life and has never forsaken me even when He didn’t meet my expectations.
I’m a husband and father. Outside of my relationship with my Creator, my greatest joy is my family. They keep me grounded while challenging me to be who God has designed me to be.
I’m not the friend who connects with you every day, but I am a friend you can connect with any day…even on your worst and darkest day. Need me? I’m there, in it with you until we both walk through.
I appreciate modern conveniences of life, but I find peace somewhere beside a mountain stream and campfire, away from the noise. Life is better near a trout stream, especially if I have a fly rod.
Missions has a special place in my heart, especially Haiti and her beautiful people. Someone once told me, “If you ever get Haiti dust on you, it doesn’t wash off.” I’ve found that to be true.
My writings are heavily influenced by each of these things as well as random moments of inspiration. From time to time, you may recognize one of these topics in a piece of writing; sometimes it may be a vague undertone, other times it will be a glaring statement.
I write short stories, non-fiction, biblical historical fiction, and whatever else finds its way from my brain to the keyboard at the moment. Regardless of the genre, my goal in writing is to trade a nugget for your time. I hope to write in a way that it’s easy to find a principle you consider worth taking when you leave and will return for another nugget.
